KES BUYING GUIDE

How many m² does one box of KES vinyl flooring cover?

One KES vinyl flooring box covers 54 sqft, approximately 5.02 m². Calculate boxes for your room with clear examples.

Quick answer: about 5.02 m² per box

One KES box covers 54 sqft. Divide by 10.7639 to convert to square metres: 54 ÷ 10.7639 = 5.0168 m², rounded to 5.02 m². Both the 2.0mm and 2.5mm collections have this coverage and contain 36 pieces per box.

Calculate from length × width

Measure in metres: room area = length × width. Boxes = area ÷ 5.0168, rounded up. For a 3 × 4 m room, 12 ÷ 5.0168 = 2.39, so buy 3 boxes before adding a cutting allowance. Use the precise coverage in the calculator rather than rounding intermediate values.

Why cutting allowance matters

For a 5 × 4 m room, 20 m² needs 4 boxes before cuts. With an optional 10% allowance, 22 m² needs 5 boxes. Corners, doorways and plank direction affect waste; 10% is a planning option, not a guarantee for every layout.

Coverage is not the same as delivered cost

Once you know the boxes needed, choose your finish and check the current price. Courier adds RM20 per carton. The cart shows the product subtotal, shipping and final total before checkout.
